Richard Gray has written the book, music and lyrics for Cold Turkey (based on the Norman Lear movie of the same name), History of the Roller Coaster (with Scott Warrender), The Mom & Pop Show, and The Donk Sisters.

Two of his full-length musical scores, Time Again in Oz and Little Rock, have been performed in theatres across the country, as have his numerous scores for theatrical productions.

His solo cabaret show, Gray Matter, has been performed throughout the Pacific Northwest, and his numerous cabaret performances include Too Marvelous For Words, and Scott Warrender's Nuts and Creamy Nougat with Cheyenne Jackson. His musical revue, Forbidden Xmas, has been a fixture of the holiday scene for 15 years.

Richard is currently collaborating with Martin Charnin (lyricist and director of Annie) on Love Is Love, a project debuting Winter 2006.

For the second straight year, Richard was named one of five finalists for the Fred Ebb Award honoring up-and-coming new writers for the musical theatre.
