Jeremy Schonfeld’s singular blend of tuneful pop, hard-edged rock, gospel, soul and blues has drawn him comparisons to Billy Joel and Jonathan Larson in the New York Times, and has made him one of today’s most sought after singer/songwriter talents and musical theater composers. Smart and contemporary with intelligent lyrics, Schonfeld attended the Berklee College of Music and participated in the BMI Lehman-Engel Musical Theater Workshop.

Recent engagements include a sold-out, standing room only solo show at Joe’s Pub, which featured Shoshana Bean (Wicked, Hairspray), Stephanie D’Abruzzo (Avenue Q), and Tracie Thoms (Rent (feature film)) among others; BB King’s; Lincoln Center; Birdland; Juilliard Opera Theater; Symphony Space; CBGBs; Southpaw (he is also the club’s only right-handed owner); The Zipper Theater; “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” and as an opening act for James Taylor.

Of Schonfeld, actress-singer Shoshana Bean recently told Playbill.com, "Jeremy is an amaaaaaazing story-teller through song. He’s soulful and honest, a true piano man, of which there aren’t many anymore. So his sound and his performance are so refreshing. His music is layered, moving, and he chronicles New York life in the now. His songs tell very specific stories—about who we are and where we’re going—with a contemporary beat. [They’re] theatrical sounding without necessarily being typical theatre songs."

Schonfeld lives in Brooklyn with his Kiwi wife Sarah-Jane, sassy daughter Alexandra, and hyper dog Byron.

Available for solo performances, songwriting workshops and master-classes.
